Answering a few questions

A few of you have had a few questions, and I'm sure that many of you are wondering the same thing, so I thought I would answer them in a post.

First, people are wondering what they should wear? First and foremost, we want all of our guests to be comfortable. We are getting married in the mountains, and the weather can be a bit unpredictable. One minute it can be raining, and the next minute it is hot and sunny. The show will go on, rain or shine, so we suggest bringing appropriate clothing for rain, sun, and even snow. That being said, we are planning for a semi-formal ceremony. However, if you want to wear jeans, or a tuxedo, or your bathing suit, or your Halloween costume, please do!

Second, we have been asked if people can bring their dogs. Dogs are allowed at Moon Lake, but need to be leashed. We would prefer to include only those of the human species in the ceremony and reception, so please keep this in mind when considering whether or not to bring your pet.

The wedding will be taking place on the beach, near the lake. We will have signs to guide you to where you need to go. A reception will follow on the vollyball court. We will be serving dinner, so if you have any special dietary needs, please be sure to let us know.

If there are other questions, please feel free to ask. I am sure that others will have the same questions.

  2. Ok. I have a few more questions :).
Is there a kitchen or campfires for our food other than your awesome reception. Should I plan basically like camping for our food and stuff? Also- is there electricity in the cabins? And do we need to bring our own pillows and blankets, sleeping stuff?
    Really excited!!
One more! Is the lake a place Max would want to swim? Is it too cold? He usually doesn't care about that anyway!
Also- are there stores near by if we need anything during the trip? Or should I come prepared for all? These questions are coming from a mother of a 7 year old boy. I have to bring at least 5 band aids per day!
    We are excited!!!

    1. Hey Carole,

The cabins do have kitchens with refrigerators, oven, stove and sink. They also have a shower and toilet. As far as food is concerned, you can pretty much do whatever you feel like doing. There are fire pits too. And they do have electricity, and heaters too! It's like comfortable camping :)
Max could swim in the lake, but it is pretty cold. There is a nice sandy beach, so if it is warm he will have a blast, I am sure.
There is a small store at the lodge that carries some of the necessities, and some food items. I'd try to bring everything you need, but if you forget something, I'm sure you could find it there.
Hope that helps. Let me know you if you have any other questions.
